MERC partners engage in innovation partnerships

Discussion is ongoing with MERC Partners and a number of SMEs.  In particular two exciting concepts being examined are as follows: SEFTEC based in Carrigaline Cork is a supplier of Helicopter Underwater Egress Trainers.  In addition the company is to the forefront of Firefighting training for the maritime industry.  Scoping of project set to examine the utility of computing sensor technology for Fire Fighters and Damage Control teams is currently in hand.  It is hoped that the outcome of this study will lead to an innovation partnership between SEFTEC and MERC partners. Insert SEFTEC Web Site Link REAMDA is based in Tralee Cork and has provided unique simulation tools to the Naval Service.  In addition the company has been deeply involved in the HOBO remote operated vehicle.  Scoping of a project which will examine the development of an Autonomous Aerial vehicle for Small Navy Operations is currently in hand.  It is hoped that the outcome of this study will lead to a innovation partnership between REAMDA and MERC partners.
